Synopsis
The last train has arrived.
Five years after a deadly zombie outbreak destroyed the world above, the last survivors have taken refuge deep underground in Terminus 13, a fortified settlement built within an abandoned subway station.
Outside the tunnels, the dead are everywhere.
Most zombies are mindless, driven only by hunger. But a rare mutation has emerged: The Retained. They are infected, but they can still think. They remember who they were. They can speak. Some desperately fight their hunger, while others have learned to embrace it.
Humans and the Retained uneasily coexist inside Terminus 13 because survival leaves little room for prejudice - or trust.
Holding it all together is Director Marlene Voss, the iron-fisted founder of Terminus 13. She controls the food, medicine, weapons, security and access to the tunnels. More importantly, Voss keeps a secret, private ledger known as "Voss's Accounting" - a record of betrayals, crimes, and secrets she uses to keep everyone under her control.
Tonight, the survivors gather on the abandoned subway platform to celebrate the return of the last supply train before winter.
That is, until Director Voss is found dead in her private quarters, killed by a modified stun baton rigged to deliver a lethal sustained shock.
Almost everyone in Terminus 13 had a reason to want her dead.
The medics, the guards, the operators, the survivors, and even the retained- are all hiding secrets of their own. Torn pages. A tampered weapon. A subway corridor not closed. Missing time. Broken alibis. And secrets worth killing to protect.
The train has stopped. The tunnels are sealed. The dead are waiting outside.
Somewhere among you is the killer.
Enter Terminus 13.
Find the killer.
Survive the night.
